Log a visit

Why log a visit?

A visit proves the rep reached the customer, even if nothing was bought. It is how the office knows whom the rep visited and which route customers were missed.

Before the visit

The rep needs an open journey. If they try to open a visit without one, the app asks them to start the journey first.

Choosing the customer

  • Route customers: a numbered list in the order the office planned for the day. Each customer shows its status (open visit, done, or nearby) or the distance to it. The order is advisory; visiting in another order is allowed.
  • Off-route customer: from Off route, the rep searches by name, code, barcode or phone. A full list of the company's customers is not shown.
  • New customer: from New customer, the rep enters the Arabic name and the location (required), and optionally the English name, mobile number and address. The customer cannot be invoiced until the office assigns a price list.

Visit steps

  1. Tap the customer; the visit opens automatically, or resumes if it is already open. If the rep is more than 100 metres from the customer, the app warns first and records that the visit started out of range.
  2. Under Operations, do what you need: Sales, Return or Collection. The Details button on the customer card shows the customer's details.
  3. Tap Close Visit.

A visit can close without an invoice. To visit the same customer again the same day, tap Start a new visit.

On the office side

Open Journeys, then the journey:

  • Visits on this journey: every visit the rep logged, with its times and duration.
  • Plan and actual: how many customers were planned, how many were visited, and who was visited outside the plan.
  • Journey track: the map, with planned customers marked visited or not visited.

If a journey with a plan is closed with unvisited customers, the office gets an alert in Notifications.
