Set up your first journey
What is a journey?
A journey is a rep's working day: the rep opens it in the app in the morning, records visits, invoices and collections inside it, then closes it. Journeys are not created from the dashboard; the dashboard prepares what the rep needs and shows the journey once it is open.
Prepare the dashboard first
- Vans → Add Van: enter the code and plate number, then Create Van.
- Sales Reps → Add Rep: enter the display name, username and initial password, choose the Van and Default route, then Create Rep.
- Routes → Add Route: set the Default rep, Default van and Default day.
- Add customers to the route for each visit day (see "Plan routes").
- Make sure every customer has a Price list and that your products are priced on it.
- Record stock in a warehouse from Goods receipts → Record a receipt, so the rep can load.
The rep's first day
- The rep opens the app, enters the Company Code and taps Continue, then signs in with the Username and Password, and waits for the first sync to finish.
- The rep taps Start Journey. Starting needs an internet connection, a van assigned to the rep, and the phone's location turned on. If the day has a route, its customers appear in the planned order; if not, the rep is asked for a Destination.
- With the journey open, the rep loads stock onto the van from Inventory (stock movements need an open journey).
- The rep visits customers, sells and collects, then closes the journey at the end of the day from Journey summary → Close journey.
Follow the journey from the dashboard
Open Journeys to see each journey with its status (open or closed) and duration. Inside a journey you will find the Journey track on a map, Plan and actual comparing planned customers with those actually visited, and Visits on this journey.
A rep can have only one open journey at a time, and a van can only be on one open journey. If yesterday's journey was left open, the app asks the rep to close it before starting a new one.
